Social media advertising can be a rather new concept to local businesses. While some firms have already begun to integrate Social media advertising into their business processes, other firms have just started to take their first steps into social media advertising. So what’s the overall consensus on Social media advertising? Let’s explore now…
In the “Social Media Integration Study,” carried out by InSites Consulting in 2011, senior level marketing managers from the U.S. and U.K. were asked about the integration of social media in their respective companies. Across the board, the results heavily varied:
When asked why social media integration has been challenging, the top three responses were:
- Lack of ROI (48%)
- Products/services not suitable for social media (42%)
- Lack of upper management support (39%)
Although social media may be tough to start initially due to time and budget constraints, the effort is well worth it because the benefits do exist. Trust me, social media is nearly just beginning, and it’s better to get a head start now than lie in the dust later.
