Completely FREE Online Marketing Tips That Work

Last updated 6 years ago

In today’s blog post, I want to cover some important online marketing tips for your website’s online form so you can boost leads and subsequently sales for your business.  To be successful in online marketing, your business has to think outside the box, but how much thinking outside the box can a company do for an online form?  Take a look below at five online marketing tips you can implement today.

Online Marketing Tips for Your Online Form

  • Include a Privacy Statement – Quite often, people can be afraid to give out their personal information online.  For these types of people, it helps to include a privacy statement right below your online form.  Use a statement like, “we respect your privacy and will not share your information with third parties.”  In fact, if you are running a pay per click advertising campaign with Google, you must include a privacy statement on every page of your website that collects information from a consumer.  Feel free to view Google’s privacy policy here.
  • Be Concise and Provide Options – You don’t want to bombard your possible customer with a long list of questions to fill out.  Get the basic information (i.e. full name, phone number, email address, and basic inquiry) and follow up with him or her immediately.  Additionally, give your prospects options in terms of what information they provide.  For example, their location (i.e. city and state) could be an optional field on your form.  It’s imperative though that the basic information is required to submit the form.
  • Proper Placement Is Critical – Research shows the placement of your online form makes a difference, and the best place for your online form is in the upper right hand corner of a page.  Placing the form at the bottom of a page doesn’t hurt either (Elesseily).

  • Incorporate More Call To Action – Instead of the submit button saying, “submit,” why not spice it up with something more exciting?  Think of a call to action that’s relevant to your business.  For instance, if you own a dental practice, your submit button could say, “Get a free consultation now!”  Remember, think outside the box.  Be different than your competitors so your prospects don’t forget about you.
  • Use Uniquely Colored Buttons – Don’t just use white and black for your submit button on your form.  Use bold colors like blue, orange, and green to grab your prospect’s attention.  We are more drawn to the unique, right?

Will you be using any of these tips to improve your online form?  Which tip is your favorite?
