According to a survey from MerchantCircle.com, 22% of local firms have used Facebook ads and two-thirds of them would use them again" (Crum). Why else is Facebook such a popular means of advertising? The top two reasons include 1) ease of use, 2) the ability to start and stop campaigns.
With Facebook's large and growing audience, local businesses are likely to have their ads seen, which traditional media may not always offer. The survey also found that print advertising has dropped from 27% to 24%, Yellow Pages print advertising has declined from 37% to 29%, and direct mail marketing has decreased from 28% to 26%. So where are most consumers searching for products and services? Online--especially Facebook.
